Paul Owens
Dog Training Expert Paul Owens is a long-standing member of the APDT-Association of Pet Dog trainers, and is endorsed by The National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors. Paul has appeared on numerous radio and television programs, including PBS's Pets: Part of the Family and the nationally syndicated Pet Files. His dog training articles and interviews have appeared in regional and national magazines and newspapers, including Life Mgazine, Animal Wellness Magazine, The Pet Press, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, LA Parent, The Burbank Leader, and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers Newsletter, among others. Paul, The Original Dog Whisperer, is the author of 1999's best-selling book, The Dog Whisperer: A Compassionate Nonviolent Approach to Dog Training, now re-released in an updated 2nd Edition, (2007) as well as the newly released The Puppy Whisperer, A Compassionate, Nonviolent Guide to Early Training & Care. He is featured on The Dog Whisperer DVD: Beginning and Intermediate Dog Training for Puppies and Dogs, and the new Dog Whisperer DVD: Solving Common Behavior Problems for Puppies and Dogs. His specialty is in the evaluation and behavior modification of aggressive dogs and he is frequently consulted and referred by veterinarians.
