9/11 Revisited - Now, for the Stories of the Dog Heroes!
During this year's television coverage marking another anniversary of 9/11, material was presented that had not been commonly seen before. Perhaps you watched some of it as I did and learned new things about the people who were the first responders at Ground Zero. Do you know, however about the heroic efforts of all the dog search and rescue teams? In this week's replay show, you'll hear Nona Kilgore Bauer, author of Dog Heroes of 9/11: A Tribute to America's Search and Rescue Dogs relate the heartrending, courageous and uplifting stories of these human dog teams and see the compelling photographs of the dogs at work.
