Beckman was the son of a Philadelphia lawyer and was fortunate to have a wide array of opportunities at arm’s length. Sadly, he was an out-of-control teenager and his bad decisions led him down the path of drug addiction and international drug smuggling, which ultimately landed him in a Thai prison. With all hardships, there are lessons to be learned and Beckman is sharing his journey in his memoir, Tempting the Devil in the Name of God: The Heavy Hand of Fate, which is available now.

Chat and Chew: Author Glen Warren
Glen Warren, a community leader and founder of Fathers Forever, a Raleigh (NC)-based non-profit organization, has authored a new book entitled Chat and Chew.

The book holds 31 short stories featuring a unique blend of Warren’s perspective as a single father of three, a 25-year Social Worker/Counselor for Wake County (NC), a religious leader, and non-profit leader of Fathers Forever, created to strengthen men and reunite families.

Each Chat and Chew story is meant to compel, inspire and motivate readers to view life from a different vantage point. The book also serves as a self-help tool to overcome a myriad of obstacles all human beings face throughout our individual and collective journeys through life.
